Uglydoll Vinyl Toy ($10): I can’t get enough vinyl toys on my desk but it becomes a little overwhelming when they start to look like an army, so I switch them out once in awhile. This season I’m getting back into Uglydolls.

I was watching this show called Fringe, and one of the characters at the beginning of this season was always holding a piece of coin—it was a quarter. It had sentimental value as he intimately comments because it was given to him by his father when he was just 8 years old. So 2 decades past, the value of the coin increased. At some point he got rid of it, sold it and by the 3rd season of the series, he came back and bought it again from the place he sold it from.
This made me think, how much I’ve been educated when it comes to coin collecting hobbies. A few months ago, I read a book called Dear John. John’s father was obsessed with coins. It was their only means of communicating as a father and son. His father (John’s) would even go out of the country, fly thousands of miles to attend conventions and buy these now rare bullion coins. They buy bullion coins, sometimes buy gold bullion coins, sometimes they get gold bullion to where they attended a convention. Now I think it’s pretty common to get the gold ones and the silver ones. What are rare are the platinum made bullion coins which cost more and the appreciation cost rate will be higher than the usual.

Yeah so I was really entertained about cnet’s top 5 so I decided to write here their interesting views about the choices of the top 5 they’ve picked every week.

5. RIM Blackberry Bold 9700- People seem to like this piece of a mobile technology. Why really? I have no idea, but comparing the price with the iPhone? I get the gist.

4. iPhone 3GS- Hah! Bet you never expected the iPhone 3GS would land in the number 4 spot. People still dream of having this baby when we all know a new one will be coming out in a couple of months!

3. HTC Droid Eris- Now why would you even settle to another windows mobile phone? I know, I sound cynical. I just really have bad experiences with windows mobile phones. I still get scared at night.

2. HTC Nexus One- Didn’t I just wrote down an HTC brand?

1. Motorola Droid- Now I know this sounds crazy, but I think most people who’s in the US prefer this because it’s under Horizon. Which they think is the most reliable network. So if you do have the iPhone but your network sucks then you’d probably throw a fit in the middle of the department store due to lack of twitter dosage.

You know what I love about Hawaii? The beaches.. Yes not the other pronunciation you perverts. :p The people there also are just awesome. I’d like to visit there someday. And you know what else is popular there when you go to the beach? The injuries you’ll get when you go surfing and all. Yesterday, September 26, 2009. A Disaster hits Philippines unexpectedly leaving Metro Manila crippled and most houses submerged in water due to raging flood. The flood hit mostly major cities in Metro Manila which was unexpected to most people that caught everyone off guard without food, water and shelter. Some are staying on rooftops waiting for rescues and some are taking chances to swim against raging flood just to get to safer places or even saving their own relatives who are left helpless. Typhoon Ondoy has brought rain equivalent to 1 month worth of rain or 410 mm of rain.
